Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a good quality cleaning blade on which the included toner does not deposit by forming the surface, opposing to a photoreceptor, of a cleaning blade which is fixed at the root part to the predetermined side of the tangent of the photoreceptor and is made into one piece with elastic material and into a concave shape or the like. CONSTITUTION:The root part of a cleaning blade 1 which is in one piece with a spring 2 forming an elastic member is fixed in the tangent X-X direction of the contact part to a photoreceptor 14 via a holder 3, on the side of the direction where the the tangent X-X goes apart from the photoreceptor 14. The surface of the blade 1 opposing to the photoreceptor 14 assumes a wedge shape, and the blade 1 receives composite force R by the combination of the force P in a normal direction and friction force up; at the same time, the occurrence of inclusion is prevented by the elastic force of a spring 2. The deposition of the excess toner passing through the blade 1 is prevented by the wedge shape of the opposite surface, whereby good quality cleaning is accomplished. Since the spring 2 is provided with slits 9... and is thereby fractionated, the force of the blade 1 pressing the photoreceptor is made uniform without effect of the variance of material of the blade 1 in its width direction, manufacturing errors, etc.
