Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent foreign materials from the insertion slit and to avoid completely the production of jam, by providing a shutter operated with a switch at the original insertion slit and automatically detecting and discriminating the propriety of the size and thickness of the original inserted. CONSTITUTION:At the original introduction path 11 with a slope between the original insertion slit and the paper feed roller 8 at the most front part, a moving guide plate 13 driven and rotated with an electromagnet and forming the lower wall of the induction path 11, is provided, and the shutter operating the original inlet with the electromagnet operated with the operation of a communication switch is provided. If the result of discrimination is not suited, the guide plate 13 is turned to drop off the original.
