Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatize maintenance of engine, by checking various characteristic values while conducting inspecting operation when engine is not in use or in actual operation, and stopping operation of engine or giving alarm, indication, etc. on the basis of the results of the above check. CONSTITUTION:Output signals from sensors indicating various conditions of engine are afforded to control circuit 25. At the same time, control signals are given to memory circuit 26, which in turn gives instruction signals relating respectively to input items. The instruction signals from memory circuit 26 are given to instruction register 27 and the content is afforded via output circuit 29 to actuating circuit 32, alarm indicating circuit 33, stopping circuit 34, condition indicating circuit 35, etc. Instruction signals from instruction register 27 are afforded via output register 23 to comparison circuit 24, in which the instruction signals are compared with data of input items furnished to control circuit 25 and judgement is made on the data. On the basis of the result of this judgement, engine is stopped or alarm, indication, etc. is given via output circuit 29.
