Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable long distance transmission of optical data, by cancelling the effect of reflecting wave produced on the way of optical transmission line so that an incident light is split into two depending on the wave length and the signal difference is received. CONSTITUTION:A reception circuit 20 branches an incident light 201 into a signal 202 taking short wave compoenent as the main component at an optical branch device 21 and a signal 203 taking the long wave length compenent as the major component, and the signal difference is received at a reception circuit 24. The interference light reflected on the way of an optical transmission line 2 has the same spectral distribution as an light source 10 and it is cancelled in receiving signal difference at an photo reception circuit 20. On the other hand, the signal component modulated and returned at a transmission signal 301 is only short wave length component, then no cancellation is made.
