Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to record and reproduce a multiplexed digital signal accurately even if rotation is uneven by recording it dispersedly in a horizontal period and by placing it in its original state in reproduction. CONSTITUTION:From a multiplex video signal having different digitized information superposed, only the digitized information signal is extracted by gate circuit 1 and divided into desired unit data and in every horizontal period of the television signal, at least one unit of the data is supplied to adder 10 and recorded on a recording medium by being superposed on the prescribed part of the television signal blanked by blanking circuit 8. In reproduction mode, a desired signal is extracted by gate circuit 11 from the television signal recorded on the recording medium and one information signal is synthesized; and one synthesized information signal is multiplexed in a vertical blanking period and reproduced into the original multiplex television signal.
