Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to maintain the optimum temperature of an oxygen sensor by a method wherein the power supply to the heater contained in the oxygen sensor is properly turned ON or OFF through control is accordance with the state of temperature and others.
CONSTITUTION: In order to keep the optimum temperature for oxygen sensor 2, battery 3 is connected to heater 1 contained in sensor 2. The connection or disconnection of this heater circuit is performed through relay switch 4 and relay switch 4 is controlled through relay switch 6. Relay switch 6 is turned OFF to disconnect relay switch 4 when signals are entered both keyswitch signal input terminal 6a and detection signal input terminal 6b. And relay switch 6 is turned ON to connect relay switch 4 when an input signal enteres only terminal 6a. A signal indicating the free throttle state or the signal transmitted when the temperature of sensor 2 is a specified degree or more, enters terminal 6b.
