Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to diagnose transmitting-receiving functions by setting a command code that shows communication for a test and then by setting a test communication mode in which test picture information in a memory unit is read and transmitted in response to the above-mentioned code. CONSTITUTION:The test picture information memory unit uses a buffer memory and the control center transmits a command code, showing the test communication mode, and then a test picture signal to the facsimile equipment in test communication mode and, after completing this transmission, sends a signal showing the transmission end of the test picture information, thereby holding the center in readiness. The facsimile equipment, once receiving the command code showing the test communication mode, sets itself to the reception mode and buffer-memory write mode so as to write the received picture signal in the buffer memory and, when receiving the signal showing the transmission end of the test picture information, reads and transmits the picture information in the memory.
