Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to set freely a ripple quantity and a leading-in range, by generating a pulse, which includes the detection current flowing section for phase synchronization, besides the square wave used for phase detection and by controlling the current source by this generated pulse. CONSTITUTION:Output 6a of the VCO is divided in the frequency dividing circuit by 1/N to generate pulse 6f wider than pulse 6c synchronously with pulse 6e of duty 50%. When pulse 6f from terminal (f) is ''H'', transistor Q11 is turned on, and transistor Q12 is always turned off. When reference pulse 6c becomes ''H'', only transistor Q1 is turned on to operate transistors Q2 and Q3. When pulse 6f is ''L'', transistors Q12 and Q1 are turned on to operate Q2 and Q3 if reference pulse 6c is ''H''; and therefore, since the current is increased, the ripple quantity of the output is reduced, and the leading-in range can be changed.
