Abstract
PURPOSE:To accomplish better operation with the rectified power source having much pulsating component by arranging at least one of the interpole coils or the compensation coils at the bottom of the slot formed deep into the stator core. CONSTITUTION:To form the field poles 2-5 and the interpoles 6-9 on the stator core 1, the main slots 10-17 and the sub slots 18-25 formed deep in the bottom are provided. The interpole coils 26a, 26b,... 29a, 29b are arranged on the bottom of the main slots 10-17 and the field coils 30a, 30b... 33a, 33b on the top thereof and fixed with spacer 39 while the compensation coils 35a, 35b... 38a, 38b are arranged and fixed with spacer 39. With such an arrangement, the leak reactance of the interpole coils 26a, 26b... 29a, 29b and the compensation coils 35a, 35b... 38a, 38b increases thereby giving the effect equal to the smoothing reactor.
