Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately trace the dynamic state of reaction and reduce measurement time by providing a detecting system for the purpose of emitting a start command by detecting the change in absorbancy or transmittance separately from a detecting system, to an immunity nephelometric device. CONSTITUTION:In the nephelometric device which detects and determines the reaction of antigen-antibodies with the change rate of light scattering with time, a specimen sample is put in a specimen vessel 1, and a soln. prepd. by mixing a reagent with a suitable amount of a red dye having a complementary color relation with, for example, green, is added thereto, and a stirring element 5 is rotated by an electromagnetic stirrer 6, thereby allowing these to react. A detecting system which uses a green light emitting diode for a light source 3, projects green light to the vessel 1, receives the same with a sensor 4, detects the change in the transmittance or absorbancy of the green light, definitely detects the point of starting time of reaction and commands automatic start signal to a main light source 7 is provided. The change rate of light scattering with time is traced by a photodetecting tube 8 and the accurate analysis is coaccomplished in an extremely short time without measuring down to the end point of the reaction.
