PURPOSE:To make the speed changing operation during running easy with a simple construction and to increase the reliability, by detecting the shift position of a lever electrically by a plurality of limit switches which are operated in response to the oblique movement of a speed changing lever for speed changing control. CONSTITUTION:The lower part of a speed changing lever 11 is supported with a spherical bearing 12, which can be moved obliquely in the (a-a) and (b-b) directions along slits 14 of a guide plate 13, alowing an H type shift. On the other hand, limit switches S1, S2 are located at the bottom of box so that the operators 31, 32 can contact with a small lever 19, and when a speed changing lever 11 is moved in the (a-a) direction, the small lever is rocked to push the operator 31 or 32 to activate the switch S1 or S3. Thus, although an H type shift system is employed, the construction of the rotation a rotary joint can be made simple. The speed changing operation during running can be made easy and the reliability against failures can be increased.
