Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a repair work at a job site, by utilizing a Cooper heater and executing the work of preheating, stress relieving and annealing, in the event of repair of a defective part of a turbine casing made of low-alloy steel, of a heat power generator.
CONSTITUTION: When a defect such as a crack, etc. has occurred in a turbine casing made of Cr-Mo-V low-alloy steel, which has been used under high temperature and high stress for a long period of time in a heat power station, in order to repair this defective part by welding, the turbine casing is preheated, stress-relieved and annealed by use of a Cooper heater. Prior to repair by welding, it is preheated by use of the Cooper heater as a heating element to 250W350°C, and after the repair work by welding has been finished, stress by welding is relieved by heating to 675W705°C by said Cooper heater and annealing, by which a turbine casing can be repaired in the job site of a heat power station.
