Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity and stability, by attaching electric conductive powder on the surface of a nonconductive, porous and elastic body. CONSTITUTION:A pressure-resistance converting element 2 is manufactured in such a manner that a sponge, which is not independent foam type like foam plastics, etc., is impregnated with graphite powder dispersed oil and surplus oil is squeezed out. By arranging this in such a manner as to be caught between an electrode plate 3 and a wire net 4, a pressure-sensing element is formed. In a no-load condition, resistance of this converting element 2 is extremely large and an insulated condition exists between the electrode 3 and the wire net 4, but when a load is applied onto the wire net 4, the converting element 2 becomes compressed, the resistance decreases and current passes to a resistance 6.
