Abstract

PURPOSE:To determine the concn. of NO and easily detect and determine the concn. of NO plus NO2 by detecting the concn. of gaseous NO from a semiconductor detecting member responding to the gaseous NO2 exclusively and a semiconductor detecting member responding to gaseous NO2 and NO. CONSTITUTION:The concn. detecting signals of the 1st semiconductor detector 10 and the 2nd semiconductor detector 20 are connected to amplifier circuits 22, 21, respectively, by which the concn. signals 22', 21' of prescribed levels are obtained and these are introduced to the 1st arithmetic circuit 23 of the next stage. The circuit 23 controls coefficients by resistance elements and is constituted of a subtractor. From this circuit 23, the NO concn. signal (x) is determined and calculated at an output terminal 24. Further this signal (x) is applied to an adder 23 as well, where the addition operation of the signal (x) and the NO2 concn. signal (y) detected in the part 10 is accomplished. From the output 25, the NO plus NO2 concn., that is, nitrogen oxide concn. X=x+y is determined and detected at an output terminal 26.
