Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform character display and run control by reproducing and amplifying voice track information as it is and by separating data track information into character information and control information on a tape run by using a magnetic tape which has a voice track and data track. CONSTITUTION:Voice information on a magnetic tape is reproduced by magnetic head 1 and speaker 4 is driven via equivalent amplifying circuit 2, etc. An encoded signal, on the other hand, is reproduced by magnetic head 5 and converted into parallel data by series-parallel converting circuit 8, etc. This parallel data is successively separated into character information and tape run control information through logical control circuit 14. Then, the character information is stored in temporary storage device 10 and supplied to character display device 11 via signal converting circuit 12. The tape run control information, on the other hand, is supplied to logical control circuit 14, which supplies magnetic tape run control part 13 with commands for fast-forwarding, rewinding, temporary stop, playback, etc., corresponding to the input information. This constitution provides character display and run control.
