Abstract
PURPOSE:To give a nondestructive inspection to all products, by mounting an ultrasonic receiver to both the oscillating part and the segment when an ultrasonic welding is carried out and deciding the binding condition at the area of connection by a necessary signal processing circuit and through a monitor device. CONSTITUTION:The transducer 24 is bound at the tip part of the horn 13 and converts the oscillation signal at the oscillating part of the ultrasonic welding device 8 into an electric signal. The second transducer 25 touches the side of anti-welding end part of the segment 7 at the time of ultrasonic welding and converts the ultrasonic oscillation into an electric signal. The gate circuit 28 and the receiving circuit 29 receive the signal of the first and second transducers 28 and 29 to process the signals. Then the signal is transmitted to the oscilloscope 30 by the signal input of the gate circuit. In such way, both the oscillation and transmission signals are received and processed in the time of ultrasonic connection. As a result, the quality of the junction part can be decided in a nondestructive way. Thus an inspection is possible for all products.
