Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform dust acceleration testing of an electronic apparatus or the like efficiently by creating an air environment having arbitrary dust concentrations. CONSTITUTION:The clean air taken in through an air filter 21 is supplied into a mixing chamber 11. On the other hand, the fine particles corresponding to dust in a hopper 26 creates dust air having high-concn. with the dry air from a dehumidifier 24 and this air is supplied into the chamber 11. In the chamber 11, both are throughly stirred and mixed, after which the concn. thereof is measured with a dust concn. measuring device 31, and the results of the measurement are applied to a micro CPU51. Here, the CPU51 controls the rate of supply of the clean air or the high-concn. dust air into the chamber 11 in such a manner that the dust concn. assumes a desired value. Thence, the mixed air in the chamber 11 is circulatively supplied to a dust acceleration testing chamber 42, where it is used for testing of specimens. In this way, the acceleration testing is accomplished efficiently.
