Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a self-adhesive for protecting a surface during transportation and processing of a metal plate, a glass plate or the like, obtained by using two kinds of copolymerizable monomers having a specific functional group and, as a crosslinking agent, melamine, urea or a compound containing two or more of NCO groups in a molecule.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of (A) an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer (having 1W 8C alkyl), 0.1W5pts.wt. of (B) an OH group-containing copolymerizable monomer and 0.1W10pts.wt. of (C) a COOH group-containing copolymerizable monomer are copolymerized and the obtained copolymer is crosslinked by 0.5W15pts.wt. of one or more of (D) melamine, urea resin or a compound containing two or more of NCO groups in a molecule to obtain a self-adhesive for a surface protecting film. Herein, as (A), butyl acrylate or the like, as (B), 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate or the like as (C), (meth)acrylic acid or the like and, as (D), n-butyl etherified melamine or the like are preferred.
