Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the exhaust of black smoke and to reduce the power cost of a method of controlling a combustion apparatus such as a boiler or the like by measuring the amount of unburned components in the exhaust gas and feeding the output to a control box to conduct a low O2 operation. CONSTITUTION:An O2 oscillator 7 and a CO oscillator 8 are provided in the exhaust gas passage of a boiler 1, and output signals therefrom are fed to an O2 setting unit R and a control box 2. An air temperature transducer 4 and an air flow rate transducer 3 are provided in the passage for combustion air to the boiler 1, and the output signals therefrom are fed to an air fuel ratio controller A/O and the control box 2. Further, the fuel supply amount signal from a flowmeter 10 is fed to the fuel controller F and the control box 2, a signal from a steam flowmeter (not shown) and a signal from a pressure oscillator P are fed as a load signal to a primary controller PC and the control box 2. A damper D and an oil amount control valve 6 are controlled through the controllers A/O and F to conduct the low O2 operation.
