Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the shape of a striplike body continuously and highly accurately by detecting the parallel scanning laser light reflected from the surface of the striplike body and detecting the shape from the detected signal thereof and a scanning reference signal. CONSTITUTION:Laser light 2 passes through a condensing lens 4, is scanned to a sector shape 6 by a rotary mirror 5 and enters a parabolic mirror 7. The laser light reflected from the paralbolic surface is now nearly perfect parallel laser light 8 which irradiates a striplike body 9. When the parallel scanning laser light 8 arrives at the point of intersection of the body 9 and an optical axis 15, the laser light reflected from the surface of the body 9 is detected with a photodetector 14. Based on the time difference of the detection signal 16 thereof and the scanning reference signal 20 of the photodetector 14 having beforehand been set when the body 9 is not displaced in the optical axis 15 direction, the displacement of the body 9 in the optical axis 15 direction is measured in a displacement conversion circuit 17. This output is inputted to a display device 23 via a disturbance signal removing circuit 21 and a shape detecting circuit 22.
