Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the electromagnetic driving efficiency of an electromagnetic driving device by providing a permanent magnet at the side of an armature of - shaped yoke so disposed as to shortcircuit both the ends of an armature, thereby simultaneously utilizing both attracting force and Lorentz's force. CONSTITUTION:A large -shaped yoke 4 is so disposed on the outer surfaces of both end faces 6 of a small -shaped armature 2 that the inner surfaces of both the leg parts 7 of the armature 2 confront via gaps 5 the outer surfaces of the end faces 6. Further, a permanent magnet 3 is mounted on the inner surface of the yoke 4. When a current flows through a coil 1, the armature 2 moves rightwardly by Lorentz's force. On the other hand, a magnetic flux is generated at both ends of the armature simultaneously, the magnetic flux produced by the permanent magnet 3 is added to the gap of right side, and the armature 2 will move rightwardly. Thus, both the Lorentz' force and attracting force act the armature 2, thereby obtaining large driving force so as to remarkably improve the electromagnetic driving efficiency.
