Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent destruction of a driving transistor for short-circuit of a load by driving the load by the AND condition between the output according to the collector voltage of the driving transistor and an input signal. CONSTITUTION:When relay coil 6 is short-circuited, collector voltage VC of transistor 5 becomes high, and the output of comparator 7 becomes 0. When input signal IN is inverted from level 0 to level 1 under this state, transistor 5 is turned on only during the pulse signal of a prescribed pulse width from one shot circuit 2 because one-shot circuit 2 issues this pulse, however, no overcurrent is flowed because the period above is short.
