Abstract

PURPOSE: To readily make the diffusion plate having rotation asymmetrical light distribution characteristics by using the specific structure.
CONSTITUTION: The object 4 which has regular phase or/and amplitude structure when viewed macroscopically but has irregular phase or/and amplitude structure when viewed at the wavelength level of the light to be radiated, like the reticular sheet used for reticular stereoscopic photography is prepared. The object 4 is then disposed between a collimator lens 3 and a glass dry plate 6 having a silver salt emulsion layer 5. The laser luminous flux 1 which is made to divergent spherical wave by a microscope objective lens 2 is made to a bold luminous flux, after which it is radiated to the object 4, whereby the semi-irregular patterns are exposed to the silver salt emulsion layer 5. Then, if the glass dry plate 6 is bleached, the exposed recording is converted to the undulated distribution corresponding to the intensity distribution of the light, whereby the diffusion plate having rotation asymmetrical light distribution characteristics may be obtained.
