Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize high-speed operation without scanning on a space part by selecting only a part where a dot pattern output should be generated from a pattern signal and then by drawing a picture by applying a deflection electrode with a deflecting voltage equivalent to the coordinate selective signal of the part.
CONSTITUTION: Dot pattern code [0,1] of a character stored in a memory unit is applied to an addend decoder 4. Only in case of black-spot code [1], the output of decoder 4 is sent to X and Y adders 5 and 6 and then added together to output coordinate selective signals. After being D/A-converted, they are applied to polarizing coil 17 by way of X and Y polarizing amplifiers 13 and 14 for display on CRT16. Further, when coordinates of the scan start point of the dot pattern is (Xs, Ys), they are applied to X and Y adders 5 and 6 through X and Y registers 7 and 8 and added respectively.
