Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain plural laser beams from a singular oscillator, by using a Pockels cell, a leser oscillator, a Pockels cell control circuit and a light deflector. CONSTITUTION:When an output laser of an oscillator 1 is deflected in the direction of A, if a controlling pulse voltage is impressed on a Pockels cell 2 by a timing circuit 3, an output light is deflected in the direction of B being perpendicular to a paper surface. A light deflector 4 receives a Pockels output light, makes an output of A-direction polarized electromagnetic radiation to an output terminal 5 and also makes an output of B-direction polarized electromagnetic radiation to an output terminal 6. And therefore, as repeating frequency of Q switch operating pulse is 2 times of that of the Pockels cell, the laser beam's diflecting direction is deviated by 90 deg. after passage of the Pockels cell, and outputs 5 and 6 are made alternately. By excercising an appropriate control of repetition cycle of output pulse of a circuit 3, it is possible to obtain from a laser oscillator 2 laser beams having a given repetition cycle.
