Abstract
PURPOSE:To make easy the detection of signal at the lower rank station, by making easy for the insertion of pilot signal at the relay station, through the phase modulation with the second pilot signal having slight frequency difference with the radio pilot frequency for the signal inserted at the direct relay station. CONSTITUTION:The output of the transmitter T is made from the antenna A1 modulated with the radio pilot signal P1. The reception signal from the antenna A2 is added with the phase modulation with the second pilot signal P2 fed to the phase modulator PM, amplified at the amplifier AMP and outputted from the antenna Ao. The electromagnetic waves are inputted from the antenna A4 of the reception station, demodulated at the receiver R, and the signals P1, P2 in the demodulation signal passes through the same BPF, detected with the detector D1 with the envelope detection, and outputted from the output terminal 1. When the level of the signal P2 is made smaller than the signal P1, the disappearence of the signal P1 changes the output from the terminal 1 and the presence of the signal P1 can be detected. Further, the output of the detector D1 is detected with the detector D2 of LPF, allowing to detect the beat of the signals P1 and P2.
