Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure the high-quality reproduction for the color picture signals.

CONSTITUTION: The phase error correction signals of each head A, B, C and D are supplied to the error switch 20 from each compounding unit 19 and then collected in the form of a series of signals after switching in synchronization with the switching timing of the reproduced color picture signals given from each head. These signals are supplied to D/A converter 21 to be returned to the analog signals and then led to function generator circuit 22 to be formed into the phase error correction signals featuring the tangent approximate waveform with every H/8 under the timing control of counter 29 and then to be applied to variable delay circuit 25 via amplifier 23. Circuit 25 received previously the application of the reproduced color picture signals from demodulator 6 via fixed delay circuit 24 after application of a delay equivalent to the time delay of the signal required for formation of the higher-order phase error correction signals. And the reproduced color picture signals are supplied to phase stabilizer circuit 26 after application of the higher- order phase error correction. Then the primary phase error correction is given, and then the perfect error correction is applied after giving the other necessary signal processes. Thus the color shading is eliminated to draw out the signals.
