Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a filler for an infinitesimal displacement detector which can so actuate as to suitably correspond in the capacitance change of a variable capacitor a mechanical displacement of an object.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of variable capacitors C1, C2 are constructed in cooperation with a pair of fixed electrodes Ef1, Ef2 aligned in parallel to dispoded a variable electrode Ev therebetween. The capacitors C1, C2 are operated reversely to each other. The increase or decrease of the capacitances of the capacitors is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the variable electrode Ev and the fixed electrodes Ef1, Ef2. These capacitors C1, C2 are connected series with crystal vibrators Xtal1, Xtal6, respectively and oscillators OSC1, OSC2, the outputs of which oscillators are commonly applied to a mixer MIX, from which a differential frequency signal Ed thereof is produced at its output terminal. Since the signal characteristic of the mixer MIS is in S shape with substantially linear line at the center, a frequency output proportional to the stroke of the movable electrode can be produced using the linear range of the characteristics.
