Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a novel heat-regenerating material for air cooling, having high heat of fusion, and effective in a specific temperature range (10W15°C), composed of specific ratios of CaCl2.6H2O, CaBr2.6H2O and MgX2.6H2O (X is Cl.Br).
CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 70W15mol% of CaCl2.6H2O, (B) 25W70mol% of CaBr2.6H2O, and (C) 5W15mol% of MgX2.6H2O (X is Cl or Br). Addition of Sr(OH)2.8H2O as nucleating agent is preferable because it gives a material which solidifies rapidly by cooling to 6°C.
