Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a television tuner for which the number of varactor diodes is small and a low oscillation frequency of a local oscillator is sufficient. CONSTITUTION:UHF signals from terminal 27 are applied to second mixer 32 through UHF selection circuit 29 including a varactor diode, UHF amplifier 30 and inter-stage tuning circuit 31 after passing through attenuator 28. Second mixer 32 converts UHF signals to an intermediate frequency of 56.5MHz by the output of second oscillator 33 which is variably controlled simultaneously with selection circuit 29 and the varactor diode included in inter-stage tuning circuit 31, and this intermediate frequency is applied to intermediate frequency amplifier 34. The output of first oscillator 25 is added to VHF signals from terminal 19, and these VHF signals are converted to UHF signals of 770-902MHz through attenuator 20 and amplifier 23 by first mixer 24. These signals are applied to selection circuit 29.
