Abstract

PURPOSE:To construct an attachment structure, which has a satisfactory surrounding without any breakage, by mounting a doppler radar speed sensor, which is composed of an antenna and a sensor unit, in a recess which is formed in a portion of the floor of the rectangular space surrounded by the wheels of an automobile. CONSTITUTION:A doppler radar speed sensor, which is composed of a dopper radar device 2 and an antenna 1, is attaned to the recessed portion of the floor 3 of a rectangular shape, which is surrounded by the wheels of an automobile. As an attaching position, the recess 5 at a differential gear 7 is used for an FR type automobile. For an FF automobile having the recess, a recess is formed in the floor 3 to provide the attaching position. An antenna aperture 1a is mounted in the opposite direction to the forward direction of the automobile. Thus, the device is prevented from being damaged by muddy water or snow when it contacts at the floor 3 with a road 4 so that the electric waves can be reduced from obstructing the outside.
