Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the variation of the brightness of a picture due to an adjustment of picture quality by providing a change-over circuit which stops the function of a picture-quality regulator circuit in a back porch period of a synchronizing signal while displaying the picture-regulation function in a video period.
CONSTITUTION: The output of video amplifier circuit 11 and that of picture regulator circuit 12 are both connected to change-over circuit 31. Circuit 31 is supplied as a control input with a blanking signal in a flyback interval and direct-current regeneration circuit 13 is connected to the output of circuit 11. As a result, circuit 13 is supplied with a composite video signal under no influence of picture-quality regulation in the flyback interval including a back porch period of the synchronizing signal required for direct-current regeneration, so that stable direct-current regeneration will be attained. The variation of the brightness of a picture due to the picture- quality regulation is therefore by prevented. In a video period, no blanking pulse arrives at circuit 31 and the video signal puts the picture-quality regulation function to work by circuit 12.
