Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the treatment of water paint waste water with lesser floor space at lower cost by insolublizing uncoated water paint in the washing water of coating booth.
CONSTITUTION: When a water paint is coated and then uncoated water paint is recovered in the washing water of coating booth for solid-liquid separation, the washing water is made up of a soluble inorganic sulfate and/or an inorganic chloride and water. The inorganic sulfate used includes sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, etc., and the inorganic chloride used includes potassium chloride, sodium chloride, etc. And, the amount of the inorganic salts to be added to the washing water should be an amount enought to insolublize uncoated water paint when recovering uncoated water paint in the washing water of coating booth. This method makes the solid- liquid separation of coating waste water easier and also makes floor space necessary for waste water treatment plant smaller.
