Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to connect video signals smoothly by controlling the rorary phase of a head by exercising drum servocontrol in editing by an old video signal to be erased and a new video signal to be edited and recorded. CONSTITUTION:In editing, a vertical synchronizing signal is synchronously separated from a video signal, applied to input terminal 20, by vertical synchronous separating circuit 23 and then supplied to phase comparing circuit 25 by way of delay circuit 29 and switch 24. meanwhile, old information to be erased is reproduced by an erasing head and bimorph head 6 preceding a recording/reproducing head by at least one field and a vertical synchronizing signal, after separated synchronously by vertical synchronous separating circuit 32 from a video signal supplied via switch 31 being demodulated by PM demodulating circuit 30, is supplied via delay circuit 33 and switch 28 to comparative phase circuit 25, which makes a phase comparison. This error diffeerrence is fed back to drum motor 1 for phase matching between a video signal recorded previously on a magnetic tape and that to be edited and recorded newly.
