PURPOSE:To reduce the input impedance of an IC-implemented grounded-base amplifier by mutually connecting the bases of two transistors, connected to respective inputs of a differential amplifier, direct to each other. CONSTITUTION:Signals from signal input terminals 5 and 6 are input to the differential grounded-base circuit composed of transistors 25 and 26 and their bases are connected direct to each other, so that signals, differing in polarity, applied to signal input terminals 5 and 6 will be grounded (virtually grounded). As a result, a grounded-base circuit is realized and low input impedance is obtained. Even when the gain of the amplifier composed of transistors 3 and 4 is controlled by this grounded base circuit consisting of transistors 25 and 26, the input impedance is unchanged, so that frequency characteristics of a video intermediate frequency amplifier in gain control will improve.
