Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat transfer rate at heating surface on the air side by decreasing a temperature boundary layer between the dead water region of a heat pipe back flow and the heating surface with a fin shape.
CONSTITUTION: Slab fins 1 are arranged in parallel at constant intervals, and an air current fluidizes between them. A fluid flows in a heat pipe inserted at right angles in the slab fin 1. Then, a louvering 3 for which two sides facing the air current at right angles to the direction indicated by arrow are opened is provided on the slab fin 1 in a clearance in the step direction of the heat pipe, and projections 8, 9 almost in a circular arc shape and facing the air current in the direcrion indicated by arrow are provided on the slab fin 1 in a clearance in the row direction of the heat pipe. As a result, a boundary layer of the air current is made thin, mixing and turbulence of the flow are accelerated, a dead water region of the heat pipe back flow is decreased to improve heat transfer performance sharply, and from unifying a flow rate distribution of the air current, noises can sharply be decreased.
