Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an operation error by registering the telephone number of a multiple-address communication party subscriber in a switchboard by making use of an abbreviated dialing function. CONSTITUTION:Switchboard 3 is provided with memory 4, stored with an abbreviated dialing list, corresponding to button telephone set 1 and it is equipped with storage area 5 for registration display bits and storage area 6 for addressed telephone numbers. To attain registration from telephone set 1, a pair of an abbreviated dialing number and addressed telephone number are sent out to switchboard 3 following an abbreviated dialing registeration discrimination number for facsimile communication and switchboard 3 registers the corresponding numbers in area 6 and 5 and sends out a registration end signal to telephone set 1. Then, telephone set 1 can send a picture signal to a desired address by dialing one or a few abbreviated numbers following a multiple-address discrimination number.
