Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtian acoustic effects as great as a large hall with the space of a general room, by forming electrically the support sound of a prescribed time delay and by utilizing two sub-speakers to reproduce the reflection sound. CONSTITUTION:The signals of stereo signal source STG are applied to the main speakers through left and right pre-amplifiers and main amplifiers. Meanwhile, outputs of left and right pre-amplifiers are added in adding circuit MIX1 and are further added in adding circuit MIX2 through attenuating circuit ATT0, delay circuits tau1- and attenuating circuits ATT1-, and the time delay of the reflection sound is set to 30-220msec. This output is amplified and supplied to sub-speaker SS1, and a signal which is obtained by delaying the output of adding circuit MIX2 by approximately 20msec furthermore and is larger than the signal of speaker SS1 by approximately 6dB is supplied to the other sub-speaker SS2. These sub-speakers are arranged symmetrically in the left and the right, so that acoustic effects can be obtained as great as a large hall with the space of a general room.
