Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of the device as a whole and also eliminate the identifying error of the symbols as well as reduce the processing time, by writing previously the characters, patterns and symbols each to be described on the original and in different colors and then reading these colors by reader for the picture process.

CONSTITUTION: The ground of the using original paper features the white color, and the different colors, for example, the black and red are used for the characters and the symbols each. Then the colors on the original paper to be input are read by two-color reader 22 to obtain binary electric signals (a) and (b) which mean the white and red plus white and black each. Then signal (a) is supplied to picture element sequence exchanging unit 14 via memory device 10, symbol identifying unit 30 and memory device 11 each; while signal (b) is applied directly to unit 14 via memory device 13 to replace there the sequence of the picture elements and to be then supplied to modulating unit 16 via memory device 15. Then the output of device 16 is received by receiver 19 comprising demodulating unit 20 and memory device 21 and via communication circuit 18, thus obtaining the document edited based on the symbol indication.
