CONSTITUTION:Cassette tape 11 is provided with a recording medium such as a magnetic tape along the flank opposing to the opening window and information, etc., for setting various conditions regarding tape 13 is previously recorded. The recording contents of the recording medium are read out as shown by the arrow by a read sensor such as head 15 and this information is supplied to head 24, so that recording and reproduction will come into effect under the various conditions suitable to the cassette tape.
