Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the removal of side lobes by taking the correlations among the images which have been recorded by the use of plural sets of multipore pinholes in which a pair of myltipore pinholes in mutually interpolatory relations are made a set thereby performing the reconstruction of images.
CONSTITUTION: For example, in the embodiment of a gamma camera, the white dots of the multipore pinhole plate 14 of a gamma camera 12 are the state that the shutters of the pinholes are open and the black dots are the state that they are closed. The γ rays from the γ ray generating source in the subject 11 are detected by a γ ray detector 16 through four sheets of the pinhole plates P+, P-, G+, G-, which correspond of this 2×2 matrix display. The outputs thereof are stored in the specified addresses of a computer 17 and the correlation operations are accomplished by using the differences between P+ codes and P- codes and the differences between the G+ codes and G- codes. The reconstructed images thereof are displayed in a display device 18. Thereby, the improvement of the removal of side lobes is accomplished.
