CONSTITUTION:On a small metal plate 1 having a good workability there are formed a plurality of independent through holes 2 each having a diameter having a circular section and a diameter slightly greater than that of a print wire or continuous through holes 2a of a substantially circular section. On the full surface of the small plate 1 including at least through holes 2 and 2a there is formed a hard coat layer 3 prepared by minute powders 3a of a hard substance such as diamond, aluminum oxide, boron nitride or the like is bonded to each other by means of a binder of a metal such as N, Cr, Cu, or the like or a nonmetal binder 3b. By this procedure, there obtained a guide plate of a dot printer head, which is excellent in wear resistance and durability and used in a high-speed dot printer of a terminal printer of a computer or an output unit of an electronic computer.
