Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to cope with the attenuation of signal due to rain fall, by controlling the transmission power of the station A with the quality of line from the station A to station B and controlling the transmission power of the station B with the line quality from the station B to the station A. CONSTITUTION:The quality of the satellite circuit from the station B to station A is measured at the station A by providing the line S/N measuring channel 25 for the base band signal 23. The line S/N measured at the station A is delivered to the station B by providing the subcarrier 28 in the base band signal 27 of the station A transmission and by modulating it. Taking the line S/N from the station B to the station A as S/N(B A) and the line reference value as S/N(REF), when the transmission power PB of the station B is controlled as equation (1) or (2), S/N (B A) S/N(REF) is made possible. This is the method of control of the transmission of the station B, but this method is applied to all the earth stations commonly accessed and all the line quality reference values S/N(REF) are equal, allowing optimum operation as the whole system.
