Abstract

PURPOSE: To record signals having no crosstalk on tracks and enhance a recording density by causing the crosstalk quantity coefficient, which is generated for recording of a multi-track recording magnetic head, and an attenuation coefficient to agree with each other.
CONSTITUTION: Crosstalk quantity coefficient l generated for recording and attenuation coefficient β of attenuators 26 and 27 are caused to agree with each other to add previously crosstalk components to the recording current applied to magnetic heads 35, 36 and 37, and in case of actual recording onto the recording medium, so that these crosstalk components may be cancelled by crosstalk. That is, the (i-1)th signal which has the phase inverted by inversional amplifier 22 and has the level adjusted by attenuator 26, the (i+1)th signal, and the i-th signal applied from terminal 19 are inputted to adder circuit 30 to cancel crosstalk components. Consequently, recording without crosstalk is possible.
