Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible easy coping with different repeating spacings even if they differ and perform transmission of good characteristics by connecting unit circuits assigned with respective delay times in plural stages and constituting the light circuit network of frequency characteristics equal to the transmission characteristics of optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:With each unit light circuit, a light delay element 3 having a specified delay time is connected between one output terminal 2c and input terminal 2b of a photo directional coupler 1 and a light input is applied to the other input terminal 2a and the output is drawn out from the output terminal 2d. As the light delay element 3, e.g., an optical fiber delay line is used. Such unit light circuits 1a, 1b, 1c are connected to the multistage constitution and the delay times are assigned to the respective unit light circuit. Namely, if the delay times of the circuits 1a, 1b, 1c are assumed to be r, r/2, r/2 respectively, the characteristics such as the curve illustrated may be obtained overall and may be approximated to the required frequency characteristics. By changing the number of the unit circuits and the delay times to be assigned here, the degree of the approximation may be additionally improved.
