Abstract

PURPOSE: To make easy the key operation, by providing five consonant and vowel keys respectively in the japanese character input unit converting Kana (Japanese character) into Kanji (Chinese character) and locating the keys at the position operationable with the finger tips of left and right hands.
CONSTITUTION: In inputting Japanese words as data, the input processing is made with Kana characters, consonant keys 1 to 5 are located to the finger tips of the left hand of the operator and the Kana-Kanji conversion key 6 is placed corresponding to the palm, vowel keys 1' to 5' are placed against the finger tips of the right hand and the space key 6' is located against the palm. Further, the left hand consonant keys 1 to 5 and the right hand vowel keys 1' to 5' are operated according to the combined condition predetermined and the input of Kana character is made easy.
