Abstract
PURPOSE: A waste water treatment apparatus which is capable of effectively performing the flotation separation of floating substances by virtue of fine bubbles formed during flotation of mixed liquor, comprising a flotation separator to offer a swirl flow to a mixed liquor consisting of waste water and a pressurized gas-dissoived liquor and a filter provided around the flotation separator.
CONSTITUTION: The waste water 8 and a pressurized gas-dissolved liquor are tangentially introduced into the funnelled flotation separator 2 provided with the contraction 5 and the opening 6 above the separator body 4, which is set inside the waste water treatment tank 1. And, a swirl flow is offered to the mixed liquor in the separator body 4 to bring about a sufficient contact between the waste water and the pressurized gas-dissolved liquor, whereby causing the flotation of organic or inorganic floating substances present in waste water to take place with the aid of fine bubbles formed at the opening 6. Then, the fine floating substances are discharged from the sludge collection room 23 to the storage tank 25. Furthermore, the waste water from which floating substances were removed is filtered through the filter 3 provided around the separator 2, and the filtrate is then sent to the clarifier 18 and then sent to the treatment tank 35 with the treated waste water overflowing from the tank 1. And, a part of the treated waste water is sent to the storage tank 13 to mix with the pressurized gas-dissolved liquor, followed by separation at the separator 2. The waste water 8 is mixed with the coagulants 10 and 11, and then is supplied to the separator 2 through the storage tank 9.
