Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus of displaying temperatures together with thermal image on a Braun tube by providing a reference gauge plate of good emissivity in an equilibrium state with ambient temperature to part of the field of view without providing any thermometer and measuring the temperature thereof together with the temperature of the target.
CONSTITUTION: Arrangement is so made that the relations between the reference gauge plate 31 in an equilibrium state with ambient temperature and the patient number 32, his fingers' temperature 33 and room temperature 34 are displayed in addition to a rubber sheet 1 and patient's hands and fingers 2 on a Braun tube in the field of view of the apparatus of scanning the target and measuring its temperature. The pulse corresponding to the scanning period of the position of the gauge plate 31 is drawn out by a pulse generating circuit 24, by which a gate circuit 25 is opened to hold the output complying with the gauge plate 31 in a sample holding circuit 26. This output is then passed through an A/D converter 27 and character circuit 29 to be converted to characters which are next supplied to a mixer 30. On the other hand, the detection output of the brightest portion is drawn out from the output of an amplifier 14 as information indicating the maximum temperature of the hands and fingers and is converted to characters like for the gauge plate 31. The characters are then supplied to the mixer 30, thus the numbers corresponding to the temperature of the gauge plate 31 may be displayed together with the image of the target.
