Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a false target and guide a missile thereto, by projecting laser rays synchronized with rays reflected by a real target, to a distant body. CONSTITUTION:When the laser rays 3 are projected from a projector 1 to the real target 2, the rays are converted into an electric signal (a) by a light receiver 6 at the target 2. A trigger generator 7 then drives a laser ray generator 8 in accordance with a synchronizing signal (b) so that the laser ray generator 8 produces laser rays 9 of the same frequency and timing as the former laser rays 3. The output of the laser rays 9 is made high and they are projected to the distant body 10 to deceitfully guide the missile 15 thereto by the laser rays reflected by the body distant from the real target 2. Ordinarily, YAG laser rays of 1.06 mum in wavelength are used as said ones.
