Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible accurate measurement of the depth of a magnetic gap by providing the protruding parts formed with magnetic gap on lateral floating face parts. CONSTITUTION:When the protruding parts 9e, 9f formed with gaps 5... are provided on lateral floating face parts 8a, 8b by machining the fusion-welded head block 1 which is constituted by the core part 3 and slider part 4 fusion-welded with the magnetic gap 5 of the specified depth and specified length by non-magnetic material such as glass or the like, then the glass or the like filled in the rough portion or th like of the machined faces makes the accurate measurement of the gap length at both sides of the narrow track part 1a difficult but the gap length may be accurately measured on the outside of the protruding parts 9e, 9f.
